iGii has appointed Rob Kennedy as Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than 30 years of international experience across senior financial and operational leadership roles to the company’s executive team.

Rob has a strong track record of delivering growth and profitability within listed and private organisations, particularly across medical technology and international manufacturing.
A chartered management accountant by training, Rob spent 15 years at Optos plc, initially as CFO and later as CEO. During that period, he led the business through the introduction of sector-leading medical devices and expansion into new international markets, helping to double revenues.
His appointment comes as iGii advances the commercial adoption of Gii, its advanced 3D porous carbon nanomaterial, across multiple global markets. Rob will lead the company’s financial strategy and capital allocation, strengthening the decision-making and commercial foundations required to scale the business.
“What attracted me to iGii was the combination of a genuinely differentiated material platform, substantial global potential and a team with the ambition to realise it. My focus will be ensuring iGii has the financial insight and discipline to invest behind its strongest commercial opportunities as the business scales.”
“Rob has successfully scaled a technology-led business internationally while maintaining the financial discipline that growth demands. That experience and judgement strengthen our ability to make the right investment decisions as we turn the commercial potential of Gii into long-term value.”
