iGii, the Scotland-based deep tech advanced materials company behind the proprietary Gii carbon nanotechnology, today announced the signing of a Master Services Agreement (“MSA”) with Midea Group, one of the world’s largest technology, industrial and consumer manufacturing groups.
The agreement establishes the formal strategic framework for joint evaluation and programme development across multiple advanced technology areas, with initial focus centred around environmental testing and advanced thermal system applications enabled by Gii.
The collaboration will evaluate deployment pathways for Gii within intelligent systems requiring high-performance electrochemical sensing, environmental testing, thermal management and next-generation integrated device architectures.
Unlike conventional advanced materials, Gii is a proprietary carbon nanotechnology developed by iGii that can be deployed into multiple industrial and product platforms through scalable manufacturing processes. iGii believes the technology’s combination of ultra-high carbon purity, exceptionally large electrochemical surface area, anti-fouling behaviour, manufacturability and flexibility across multiple application environments has resulted in increasing evaluation by major global organisations across multiple industrial sectors.
The MSA establishes the formal framework for structured technical and strategic evaluation across agreed areas of mutual interest, allowing the companies to assess how Gii could enable future performance advantages in environmental testing, advanced thermal systems, and other intelligent device applications.
“What excites us most is that this is another example of a major global organisation recognising that next-generation product performance increasingly depends on breakthroughs at the material layer.
Gii was designed from the outset as a foundational carbon nanotechnology capable of deployment across multiple platforms and industries. As industries push toward smarter, smaller, more integrated and more sustainable systems, enabling nanotechnologies like Gii will become increasingly strategic within future product architectures.”
The announcement further strengthens iGii’s growing position as a deep tech advanced materials company operating across multiple global sectors including environmental testing, human and veterinary diagnostics, industrial sensing, intelligent devices, energy systems and thermal technologies.
The collaboration reflects a broader industry shift toward enabling technologies capable of simultaneously improving performance, manufacturability, sustainability and system integration.
Gii is designed to support future generations of intelligent products and infrastructure across multiple industries and markets.
Further programme details will remain confidential between the parties.
